I’m a singer-songwriter from Norway, also known from the hard rock band Ohmwork. My solo project explores a different side of my musical identity, diving into Americana, blues, and heartfelt, acoustic-driven storytelling. It’s more personal, more reflective—and a space where I can share the songs that wouldn’t quite fit in a band setting. I live in Tromso, Norway.
How long have you been together as a band and how did you find each other?
This is a solo project. Only me. But I am planning to put together a live band for the concerts ahead. First one in August. The guys I will play with is through mutual friends and the local music scene.
Do you have a special songwriting recipe you follow?
Not really—sometimes it starts with a riff, other times a lyric. We just follow the vibe.
How would members of your family describe your music to someone that hasn’t heard it?
Probably something like “loud but good,” or “not my taste, but they’re talented.” Haha! No, they are always very appreciative!
What do you have on your(Spotify) playlists you would be embarrassed for others to see?
A few guilty-pleasure pop songs we secretly enjoy. Take a peak …
Do you have any pre-show rituals?
I’ve have a quick look at the lyrics, tune my guitar and maybe a moment of silence to focus.
Who have you met that has left you starstruck?
No one that I can remember. I mean, I can’t remember a meeting of such. Always been from afar.
What do you consider your greatest achievement as far as a band?
Get the songs on tape and the though of releasing an album in the fall.
What key elements do you believe makes up a successful song?
Emotion, honesty, and a strong hook—those always connect.
When writing, how do you know when it is finally done?
When it feels right, and I stop overthinking it. Don’t be too nerdy about it!
What song of yours are you most proud of?
All of them! Probably the single, 10 Years from Now—it really captures who we are.
Is it possible to be on the road and not eat junk food? How do you keep it leveled out?
It’s tough, but we try to mix in healthier options when we can. Beer can also be a problem! Haha.
Are you able to write while on the road or do you need a calm familiar space like home?
I write best at home, but sometimes inspiration hits on the road too. I write when I feel for it, when I am happy. As long as there’s a guitar to play on.
What’s the most embarrassing thing to happen on stage or on tour?
Falling into stage! I stumbled on something from the side of the stage and came falling into the stage. What an entrance that was!
What can BleachBANGS do to help you in any way?
Just helping spread the word is huge—we appreciate the support!
How can everyone keep up with everything you have going on? Where can they get albums/merch?
