When Hollywood Undead announced a surprise stop in Oklahoma City, slipping in a smaller gig between major tour dates, it was clear that this was going to be an unforgettable night. Fresh off a performance in Wichita, they brought along the unstoppable Fit For a King to join them on stage, promising an evening of raw, unfiltered energy that no one in the crowd was ready to miss.

The night kicked off with the Dallas-based metalcore juggernaut, Fit For a King. Frontman Ryan Kirby didn’t waste a second in hyping up the crowd, declaring their immediate enthusiasm when Hollywood Undead asked them to join the show. Oklahoma City holds a special place in their hearts, and it was clear why. As someone who’s seen these guys live before, I knew to brace myself for the onslaught of energy, and once again, they did not disappoint.

Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary, the band’s bassist, might as well have had wings—he spent more time airborne than on the stage, defying gravity with every leap. Guitarist Daniel Gailey wasn’t far behind, taking turns with O’Leary to ensure every inch of the stage, and every corner of the crowd, felt the full force of their performance. But the real heart-melter came when O’Leary jumped off the stage, making his way into the photo pit just long enough to hand a guitar pick to a young fan in the front row—a moment that undoubtedly made that kid’s night, if not their entire year.

Just when you thought they’d peaked, the band closed their set with O’Leary taking flight once more—this time armed with a green light-up bubble blower—before launching himself into the crowd for a surf session. It was the kind of unpredictable, joyous chaos that keeps fans coming back for more, and I’m already counting down the days until Fit for a King returns to OKC.

As the stage reset for Hollywood Undead, the anticipation was palpable. The setup was a perfect nod to their latest album, Hotel Kalifornia—palm trees, graffiti-covered trash barrels, and an air of rebellious Southern California cool. They opened with “California Dreaming,” instantly captivating the audience and setting the tone for a night that would be anything but ordinary.

What makes Hollywood Undead stand out is their fluidity—there’s no predicting who will grab the mic next or who might switch instruments mid-song. It’s a dynamic that keeps the energy high and the audience on their toes, a testament to the band’s versatility and sheer talent.

Midway through the set, they pulled a handful of kids from the front row onto the stage, joking that they had to wait until they were at least ten to smoke or drink—a playful moment that led into a hilarious and unforgettable introduction to their next track, “Coming in Hot Mother Fucker.” Apparently, only one little girl had the guts to say the song title, and the crowd went wild, adding a touch of endearing chaos to the already electric atmosphere.

Hollywood Undead kept the energy cranked to 11 throughout the entire set, proving that they’re masters of the stage, whether at a massive festival or a more intimate venue like this one. The night was a relentless, thrilling ride from start to finish, and I’m already itching to catch them live again. Oklahoma City was lucky to be on the map for this one—it was the kind of show you wish you could bottle up and relive again and again.
