Mudvayne brought their L.D. 50 25th Anniversary Tour to the historic Tulsa Theater in Tulsa, Ok. They had the bands Static X and Vended on tour with them. When this tour was announced, we knew we were not missing this one. The three bands played to a sold-out Tulsa crowd.

Vended was the first band to take the stage, and if you didn’t know any better, you’d think the apocalypse started inside the venue the moment they hit the stage. The young Des Moines wrecking crew — led by Griffin Taylor (vocals) and Simon Crahan (drums) — unleashed a set that proved they’re not living in anyone’s shadow. They’re carving their own path through the modern metal landscape, one breakdown at a time. Guitarists Connor Grodzicki and Cole Espeland ripped through riffs that blended groove, chaos, and precision — the kind of playing that could melt steel. Bassist Jeramiah Pugh anchored the madness, his tone rumbling through the floorboards and right into your chest cavity.

What makes Vended truly lethal is their energy. There’s no ego, no filler — just five guys channeling rage, youth, and passion into a sound that feels both familiar and completely new. It’s that perfect storm of heritage and hunger — the bloodline of metal royalty combined with a fresh generation’s defiance.

The machine was fully alive when Static-X hit the stage, unleashing a sonic onslaught that felt like stepping straight into the late ‘90s industrial metal apocalypse. From the opening blast of “Bled for Days” to the grinding pulse of “Push It,” the band delivered a set packed with nostalgia and raw adrenaline. Frontman Xer0, masked and menacing, channeled the spirit of Wayne Static with eerie precision — his vocals, presence, and energy igniting the crowd into a frenzy. The mix of strobes, smoke, and mechanical visuals turned the stage into a futuristic nightmare, exactly the kind of chaos fans came to experience.

The crowd’s response was nothing short of electric. Every riff from Koichi Fukuda, every pounding rhythm from Tony Campos and Ken Jay, hit like a steel piston firing in sync. The energy never dipped — a relentless industrial groove that had the entire venue moving as one massive, headbanging machine. Static-X didn’t just perform; they reminded everyone why they’re still the kings of cyber-metal. It was a brutal, high-octane celebration of legacy, loss, and the unwavering power of loud, mechanical rebellion.

Mudvayne turned the venue into a madhouse the moment the lights went out and the opening riff of “Dig” tore through the speakers. The roar from the crowd was deafening — decades of pent-up adrenaline unleashed as Chad Gray stormed onto the stage, face painted, veins bulging, and voice sharper than ever. His screams hit like a freight train, his emotional delivery reminding everyone that Mudvayne isn’t just a band — it’s a controlled detonation of rage, catharsis, and technical chaos. The band’s chemistry was undeniable.

Midway through the set, the chaos only intensified. The pit swelled and churned during the set, with fans screaming every word to every song as Gray leaned into the crowd like a man possessed. The band’s sound was razor-tight, their visuals haunting — strobing lights, dark industrial tones, and a stage presence that felt more like a ritual than a concert. Between songs, Chad’s voice cracked with emotion as he thanked the fans for sticking with them through every era, a reminder that Mudvayne’s bond with their audience runs bone-deep.

By the time they closed with “Happy?”, the entire crowd was drenched in sweat, grinning like maniacs, united in one massive release of chaos and nostalgia. Mudvayne didn’t just play a show — they commanded it. It was heavy, unhinged, and gloriously unpredictable — proof that after all these years, no one brings controlled insanity to the stage quite like Mudvayne.
The Tulsa Theater might be a historic venue, but on this night it felt like a war zone. Between the blinding lights, the thunderous sound, and the pure chaos of the pit, there wasn’t a single moment to catch your breath. Make sure you check out this tour if it comes near you!!
