The Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City got a serious dose of unapologetic metal as Butcher Babies brought HellaWeekend XXI to town on October 24. With a lineup of hard-hitting local OKC bands setting the tone throughout the night, the atmosphere was primed for an all-out assault on the senses. The stacked line-up featured Locust Grove, Neandrathal Jones, Psychotic Reaction, Shame in Nothing, Arkhon, and Against the Damned. OKC put some serious talent on that stage to prep the crowd for the Butcher Babies.

Known for their blistering combination of groove, thrash, and aggressive vocals, Butcher Babies delivered the kind of unapologetic heaviness that keeps metal fans coming back for more. The band’s signature blend of punishing riffs, thunderous percussion, and fierce vocal delivery gave the performance plenty of bite. Their stage presence matched the music, bringing a commanding attitude and an undeniable sense of chaos to the Diamond Ballroom. From the crushing instrumentals to the raw vocal intensity, the band made sure there was never a shortage of reasons to keep the horns raised.

HellaWeekend XXI was another reminder that Oklahoma’s metal crowd knows exactly how to show up for a night of heavy music. Butcher Babies brought the brutality, the Diamond Ballroom provided the perfect setting, and the fans supplied the energy to make it a memorable night. When the amps finally cooled down, one thing was certain: Butcher Babies didn’t come to Oklahoma City to play nice!
