– Venice Revive is a symphonic metalcore project that’s here to offer something different, with heavy use of orchestral instrumentals while maintaining a sound that’s energetic, groovy & melodic throughout. The sound is a mix of the advanced production & effects of modern metal with the beautiful melodies & creative riffs of old-school metal. I love simple and catchy riffs just as much as I love technical guitarwork. You’ll hear some touches of thrash, heavy & groove metal as we mix and use our creative output to it’s full potential – all with great additions of violins, harps, a choir and more, to the metalcore sound you know and love.
- Do you have a special songwriting recipe you follow?
– I try not to stick to a formula while still trying to keep my music as catchy and borderline mainstream as possible, it’s quite tough to be honest. While I want to completely release my creativity, I also want my songs to get famous.
So no, no special formula, but there are limitations on freedom. - How would members of your family describe your music to someone that hasn’t heard it?
– Well, my dad used to yell “Turn off that shit that no one would ever enjoy”, but my mom’s really supportive. She just tells people I make “rock” and “music with guitars”, but I love how enthusiastic she is about it! Love you mom! - What do you have on your(Spotify) playlists you would be embarrassed for others to see?
– When I return home late from a different city, sometimes I just want to blast electronic music while driving at speeds I won’t write for legal reasons, hope you’ll like this small playlist I have:

– Deep breaths. Very deep breaths. - Who have you met that has left you starstruck?
– No one actually, I’m autistic. I met some of my heroes like Matt Heafy & David Draiman and I was just like “Hey, what’s up?” - What do you consider your greatest achievement as far as a band?
– Venice Revive reached the top of the national rock chart with only it’s second single! - What key elements do you believe makes up a successful song?
– Anything that would make the listener want to listen again. From catchy choruses to goosebumps inducing lyrics. - When writing, how do you know when it is finally done?
– I always listen to my stuff on repeat in case I suddenly come with an idea to do something better… until these moments don’t happen anymore. - What song of yours are you most proud of?
– I don’t pick favorites when it comes to my songs! - Is it possible to be on the road and not eat junk food? How do you keep it leveled out?
– It all depends whether you want to cry about your health or your money after the tour. - Are you able to write while on the road or do you need a calm familiar space like home?
– I can write anywhere as long as I have my laptop, I don’t even need my guitar.

– Hey! Name’s Omer Cohen and I’m the songwriter, Venice Revive is my solo project.
