1 . Introduce us to the band! What are your names and what do you do in the band?
Where do you call home?
Hi Im Pauli and I organize the other collaborators and writing and recording sessions in the last release we had Smokey Poe from Byron Bay on Drums and Samples and Kymin Kaos on bass and Vocals
- How long have you been together as a band and how did you find each other?
The project started in 2020 through the lockdowns i had a street art project going with
photography and videos that required soundtracks we are a collective of Arists & Musicians that
known each other from our usual projects for years its a small community here in Melbourne .
- Do you have a special songwriting recipe you follow?
Its not so much a recipe but a themed based project we have covered Death, Mental Health
Politics and Environment to name a few
- How would members of your family describe your music to someone that hasn’t heard it?
My family have gotten used to my art now but Im sure they think Ill grow up one day
- What do you have on your(Spotify) playlists you would be embarrassed for others to see?
My early stuff in the current project from Rasta Cowboy but Im leaving it out there as its part of
my journey
- Do you have any pre-show rituals?
I like a kebab and count my guitar picks I need an even number
- Who have you met that has left you starstruck?
Pete Shelley from the Buzzcocks I git to be a roadie on a tour they did in Australia in about 1990
- What do you consider your greatest achievement as far as a band?
Getting all these incredible musicians from around Australia to collaborate with me on my crazy project this recent release The Grinding
- What key elements do you believe makes up a successful song?
I believe you have to be both Proud and Courageous in your Art
- When writing, how do you know when it is finally done?
I right and record very fast so when i get stuck on a song its not flowing so I put it away the ones come together speak to me its intuition for me
- What song of yours are you most proud of?
Awake Not Asleep from my latest release The Grinding I had my old friend Smokey Poe help with
Drums and production bringing old friends in is an incredible feeling for me to be creative
- Is it possible to be on the road and not eat junk food? How do you keep it leveled out?
I’m pretty good with food my weakness is doughnuts but i keep that moderated to 6 at a time
- Are you able to write while on the road or do you need a calm familiar space like home?
I can write anywhere I just need the idea and flow to come on board I jot it down then take that in to my studio when I get back
- What’s the most embarrassing thing to happen on stage or on tour?
I fell of the drummers kit once being an idiot trying to finish a song on a high note which ended on a low note
