Anytime Nothing More announces a tour, we immediately check the stops to see if they will be close to us. When we saw that the Carnal Nature World Tour was stopping at The Criterion in Oklahoma City AND bringing along Doobie, Archers, and Catch Your Breath, we knew we were not missing this one. That line-up is a dream come true!!

To kick the night off right, Doobie took the stage and instantly proved he knows exactly how to light a fire under a crowd. Even though we’d heard his music before, seeing him live for the first time was a whole different experience, as he quickly cranked the energy in the venue from zero to full throttle. His cover of Danzig’s “Mother” sent the room into chaos, with every single person shouting the lyrics at the top of their lungs. Between songs, Doobie summed up his approach perfectly, saying he doesn’t pride himself on being perfect, but he does pride himself on being authentic—and that authenticity poured out of every moment of his set. When the crowd learned it was his “birthday eve,” the venue erupted into a massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY chant, setting the tone for what later social media clips confirmed was a very fun celebration once the clock struck midnight.

Next up was Madison, WI’s Archers, and if you’ve seen them before, it was immediately clear they’ve leveled up in a big way. The band hit the stage with nonstop energy, and when vocalist Nathaniel Pulley challenged the crowd to send up some crowd surfers, the fans wasted zero time delivering—complete with a hilarious but appreciated reminder to “lift with your legs.” Archers kept the momentum surging throughout their set, with massive hooks and soaring choruses that had the crowd singing along from start to finish. The connection between band and audience felt effortless and electric, capped off by a perfectly on-brand moment when Nathaniel folded a setlist into a paper airplane and launched it into the crowd, sealing a performance that was equal parts fun, powerful, and unforgettable.

The Austin, TX band Catch Your Breath was up as direct support for Nothing More. Catch Your Breath delivered a crushing, emotionally charged set that hit just as hard as it hurt (in the best way). From the first note, their blend of heavy breakdowns, haunting melodies, and raw vulnerability pulled the crowd straight into their world, with vocals that shifted effortlessly from gut-punch screams to soaring, emotional cleans. The band’s tight performance and undeniable chemistry made each song feel massive, while the lyrics clearly resonated with fans who screamed every word back like therapy set to distortion. Catch Your Breath didn’t just play a show—they created a moment, proving they’re a band on the rise with both the heaviness and heart to leave a lasting impression.

Drum roll…it was now time for our headliners for the evening!! Nothing More absolutely owned Oklahoma City at The Criterion, delivering a performance that was equal parts controlled chaos and emotional catharsis. From the moment they hit the stage, the band came out swinging, with thunderous rhythms, razor-sharp musicianship, and a sound so massive it felt like it was rattling the walls straight down to the foundation. Jonny Hawkins was a force of nature—commanding the crowd with relentless intensity, raw vocals, and an almost feral energy that made it impossible to look away. The band’s dynamic shifts between crushing heaviness and haunting, melodic moments hit with precision, keeping the audience locked in and feeding off every scream, jump, and raised fist in the room. When it came time for the band to perform “Freefall”, Jonny was joined on stage by Nathaniel, the Archers vocalist. This was an awesome pairing.

What truly set the night apart was the connection Nothing More forged with the Oklahoma City crowd, turning The Criterion into a sea of movement, sweat, and shared release. Fans screamed every lyric back like battle cries, while the band pushed the energy higher with each song, never letting the momentum dip for a second. The performance felt personal, powerful, and unapologetically intense—one of those shows where you walk out exhausted, hoarse, and fully satisfied. Nothing More didn’t just play a concert in Oklahoma City; they delivered a full-scale experience that reminded everyone why they remain one of the most electrifying live bands in rock today.
