- Introduce us to the band! What are your names and what do you do in the band?
Where do you call home?
Im from around the Hartford county area in Connecticut, I do all the instruments, vocals and mixing.
- How long have you been together as a band and how did you find each other?
I started sorrow enthroned in about 2019. I wanted to experiment with recording and writing music and from there it never really stopped. The entire process is very therapeutic for me
- Do you have a special songwriting recipe you follow?
Pretty much all or most of the songs ive done have started with just messing around on the guitar and when I sort through all of it to find a small part that’s good I will use that to start building a song. Lately ive been trying to work on creating themes in the songs and using a few simple ideas to drive a song forward
- How would members of your family describe your music to someone that hasn’t heard it?
Death. Metal.
- What do you have on your(Spotify) playlists you would be embarrassed for others to see?
Honestly I don’t listen to anything besides metal. 95 percent of the time I listen to slam, death metal, or black metal, 4 percent is deathcore, hardcore, beatdown, and 1 percent of my life I listen to classic rock like led zeppelin or pink Floyd. I can tolerate edm or rap or pop if im forced to listen to it but I never listen to that stuff in my free time.
- Do you have any pre-show rituals?

- Who have you met that has left you starstruck?
I met Trevor from The Black Dahlia Murder and got a quick picture, he was absolutely surrounded by friends and fans like a true god on earth super cool
- What do you consider your greatest achievement as far as a band?
Finishing this last album has been so stressful it feels great to be over with. I put a lot into the songwriting and the mixing and it took way longer than I anticipated, rife with setbacks and immense personal struggles. It is definitely the best release from the band so far though.
- What key elements do you believe makes up a successful song?
The riffs have to be catchy, when music gets stuck in your head when you aren’t listening to it I think that’s a good sign. Also there should be some sort of climax, like whenever I go to shows im waiting for that one part where the mosh pit always explodes, I feel like those are key moments in a song.
* When writing, how do you know when it is finally done?
I think every part of the songs have to be filled with something interesting like the fills/transitions are super important and if certain instruments sound off during a certain part I know it needs to be worked on to be more cohesive. Also it sometimes gets to a point where too much tinkering leads nowhere so knowing when to stop is important too.
* What song of yours are you most proud of?
I really like the songs on the new album, my favorite is probably the title track or Shit Custard. Both those songs are basically slam riffs stitched together to make cohesive units and the songwriting process was fun.
* Is it possible to be on the road and not eat junk food? How do you keep it leveled out?
I don’t tour, what you eat is definitely important though I notice my mood and energy deplete immensely when I eat food with mind control chemicals like gmos
* Are you able to write while on the road or do you need a calm familiar space like home?
Inspiration usually comes randomly, its obviously way more comfortable being at home but I feel like if I had to I could write on the road. Who knows though if anything it would be getting a few ideas down to be worked out later.
* What’s the most embarrassing thing to happen on stage or on tour?
Not going on tour is a good way to avoid embarrassment
